Hair Coverings Review and Giveaway!

Posted by Felicia Thursday, March 4, 2010, under | 78 comments

When I was first contacted by Hair Coverings, I had never heard of them and I was curious to see what they had to offer. I went to their website to check them out and I must say they have a lot of great items! They have a great variety of different things that I have never seen sold online before. I would say that they have a very unique site and one that a lot of people would find very useful!

At first glace I didn't see any products I would personally use for myself. They have a lot of unique items though, so I continued to check them out...and found something that fit me perfectly! Ponytail holders and hair clips! Now, you are probably thinking "Why is she getting excited over a ponytail holder?", well let me tell you that these are some of the prettiest ones I have ever seen! Debbie from Hair Coverings asked me if there was a product I would like to review and I had to choose this one:

(Both of these images are from www.HairCoverings.com)

It shipped very fast and when I received it in the mail I was impressed by how pretty it is. I love the pastel colors of the stones-it reminds me of spring! It seems to be well made and looks as though it will last a long time(which is a plus for us frugalistas!). The silver piece that the stones are in is made of metal and it has two covered bands to help it stay in your hair. I found it to be a little heavy on my hair, but as long as I get it in tight enough it won't budge. Overall I am happy with this product and I think it is a nice change from my boring, plain ponytail holders!

While checking out their site I found that they offer a large variety of products. Including a "Sale" section which is always a must-visit.

Here are just a few examples and links to what they have to offer:

Lycra Pre Tied Bandanna

Cotton Lycra Pre-Tied Bandanna

Rainbow Brite Adventure Pack CD Review

Posted by Felicia Monday, March 1, 2010, under | 3 comments
Remember Rainbow Brite from when you were a kid? Boy do I!! I would say that is one of my fondest memories of a favorite childhood cartoon character that I just HAD to have! In fact, I am not ashamed to admit I still have an original VHS from when I was a kid that I used to watch and a Patty-O-Green doll -just ready to share with my little girl. Now Rainbow Brite is back and she has a few new friends along with her!

They have changed Rainbow Brite's look a bit, and I am still getting used to it. It's hard to grow up with something, a toy or game, and then see how much they have changed the way it looks years later. She has a more modern look now to appeal to today's generation. Meet Rainbow Brite and her friends, Moonglow and Tickled Pink:

She sure has grown up a lot from what I remember her to be, but I am sure my daughter is going to love her as much as I did (and still do). Rainbow Brite is already available in stores such as Target and Toys R Us. You can also check out www.RainbowBrite.com to see some videos, play games and just get to know the new Rainbow Brite!

And just for memories sake I have to include a picture of what she and her friends looked like before:

Ah, such good memories! :)
